Etymology assertion appears to be vandalism
[edit]This article asserts that the term stone fruit came to light during medieval times, and also claims that pears are stonefruit. The article for Pears states that they are pomaceous. The WikiBlame here[1] clearly shows a vandalism edit which is partially undone, potentially in hopes that it would go unnoticed. I believe this assertion should be removed because it was part of a clearly bad faith edit, but I would like to follow proper procedure and cannot determine the proper course of action having read several articles on dealing with vandalism. - Go ahead, be bold, and send it away! I was going to clean up the article myself, but I forgot about it. While you're at it, you could remove some of the non-encyclopedic stuff at the bottom. Happy editing! David1217 03:04, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
