Grammar

[edit]

"Some aliens had become citizens of Earth (or countries on Earth)" Does this sentence imply that some aliens became countries on Earth?

Not to me. It's clear to me it means some aliens have become citizens of Earth or citizens of countries of Earth. It could probably be reworked tho. If there is no central earth goverment then why not just say citizens of countries of earth? The only reason to mention both if it is unclear or there is a 'central' earth government with some countries outside it 203.109.240.93 12:33, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see both sides but the sentence is messed up and seems redundant.

SG Project

[edit]

Despite not being canon, I think this facet of Stargate needs as much attention as the other two (SG1 and Atlantis), but is it getting it? Just a little qualm. --alfakim 11:28, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

How many episodes?

[edit]

Uh, OK. So I know when it ran and that it only ran for one season, but how many episodes did that season have? The article does not say. Normally, there is a numbered list of episodes for any TV series that only ran for a season. For instance, Darkplace lists all six episodes (with brief descriptions, even); even Birds of Prey (TV series) has one (albeit without descriptions, last I checked). Kind of a big omission, don't you think? Runa27 05:00, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have that exact same question... I suggest that the pages be unlinked untill actual content is included on them. 68.252.49.229 (talk) 05:17, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

my 3¢ re:referencing here

[edit]

If an editor involved herein has these episodes (in the here and now, not "saw them once upon a time") and can verify the primary sourcing for the episodes' directors, writers, and synopses, then I think the information can stand as it's primarily sourced; however, I would recommend a hidden HTML commend be added under the section header explaining who has the episodes and can vouch for their authenticity. The counterpoint though: if no editor has these home videos available to them, then we do need to scour the interwebs to find reliable secondary sources for these particulars. For what it's worth, TV.com and the Internet Movie Database are not reliable sources.

The episodes' titles and original air dates do need to be reliably sourced to secondary sources as the video content of the episodes themselves cannot corroborate. However, this should be easy enough, as TV Guide online is considered a reliable source, and should have both the episode titles and air dates listed there. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 19:00, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About Brad Wright's Comment.

[edit]

His statement seems to me to be rather ironic, considering that in the commentary for the original movie, one of the commentators, if not the commentator, says basically the same thing about the series! (In a tone that suggests that the series doesn't count as canon, only the movie does.)Hmm. Probably because of the recasting. LeoStarDragon1 (talk) 00:38, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
