Talk:Social Advertising In my opinion the description for the term Social Advertising is: "The advertising designed to educate or motivate target audiences to undertake socially desirable actions." It has been used in this way for years. A search on the net proves this. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook misused the term for what he means as Profiled of profile targeting advertising. I agree. Social Advertising or Social Marketing, Community Based Social Marketing is typically used to describe the utilization of marketing techniques to foster some sort of social change. While I would have to agree that traditional marketers can use social marketing techniques in order to take advantage of social forces to encourage purchase of their product, I wouldn't term this Social Advertising.

I think that Social Advertising is a side of Next Advertising. Increase of users' partecipation and more Self-organization in the system.
