Adding more information about how they were used, such as were they used for astronomical calculations or perhaps engineering calculations? would help considerably. A picture to give the reader an idea of what they looked like would help as well. what were they replaced by or what did they lead to? Were they a significant scientific instrument or just a small piece to aid in astrolabe usage?Ender0051 (talk) 20:33, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I liked the overall organization of the article. You had some solid information. I agree that adding a picture would help the reader get a feel for what the shadow square is. I think you could also add why this invention was so important, and maybe how long it was a relevant tool. It is definitely a good first draft though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comb7190 (talk • contribs) 02:26, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- I agree that there is good information and organization in the article. I think a important addition to this article would be more information about the tool's relevance in the scientific community. A timeline of its use and contribution to important scientific observations/discoveries could be helpful in understanding its importance as well. Adding more info regarding its origin and creation would be good to add if possible. MitchB323 (talk) 18:28, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
