Scarborough wavesItalic text - "the popular consensus is that Scarborough's waves are poor" - not sure that this is true, and in any case its unsourced. Scarborough definitely gets its share of surfers travelling to it from other less popular beaches and the waves can be very good Phenalot (talk) 07:44, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, it appears to simply be a random person's opinion. Your edit seems fair to me. Orderinchaos 08:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV?

[edit]

How is the statement "This caused a bunch of old boring people to protest against high rise and the development of Scarborough" NPOV? A load of "boring old people" (who would surely have been much younger then) complained against Observation City, and it has been described as an "eyesore" and blott on the landscape ever since. Local people don't like the idea of high rise development because they think it will block their ocean views (which they paid a premium for), or have a whole mass of people looking into their windows and back yards and taking away their privacy. I'm not one of them, by the way, but their view is legimate, at least as legimate as those who think that high rise development will somehow mean more pubs and clubs in the area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.39.162.130 (talk) 11:52, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
