Sandesh and Peda are quite different in texture and taste. Sandesh is quite a bit softer, with less sugar, while peda is mostly hard and very sweet. --Ragib18:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The pictures on google images looked similar, but I still put the {{Fact}} tag there. When I was at a durga puja, the Sandesh they gave out looked just like Peda though the texture & taste were maybe a bit different. BakamanBakatalk18:19, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Aren't Sweets a subset of confectionery? Sandesh is not exactly similar in nature to the other examples you provided, and stores selling Sandesh and other such sweets are almost invariably called Sweets stores, even outside South Asia (exmaple). --Ragib (talk) 01:01, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
