Structure?
[edit]I am no expert on this particular compound, but is it really a monomer? Just a guess, but it is possibly a aquo complex or has mu-phenoxides. Possibly the story is complicated. Square-planar Co(II) is rare I think. Related cases are the cobaloximes. I realize Org Syn indicates a monomer, but organic chemists often mess up with this kind of thing. --Smokefoot (talk) 12:24, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing that out! I'm a bit busy to look into more detail, but the J. Chem. Ed. reference describes that it exists in two forms - dimers bridged via interactions between Co and O, and dimeric with Co-Co interactions. There probably will be references to the primary articles there. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 12:43, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
