Who are you?

[edit]

"Chief of Staff of the Prussian Army in the mid 18th century" or "19th century German general"? Which is it? TREKphiler hit me ♠ 05:12, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another dang typo...thanks for pointing that out. Your section header made me think of The Who :) Parsecboy (talk) 13:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Armament layout

[edit]

The article needs to be clearer as to the distribution of the main battery, looking at the pics, it looks like 5x2 turrets, with three turrets on the centreline and two wing turrets, but someone with a source should put it in the article.KTo288 (talk) 09:49, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a description of the main battery. I had left this sort of technical detail for the class article, but can see how it would be useful here. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 11:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks.KTo288 (talk) 17:24, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:SMS Moltke Hampton Roads 1912 FINAL.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on August 23, 2011. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2011-08-23. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 20:43, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SMS Moltke
The SMS Moltke was the second battlecruiser commissioned into the German Imperial Navy. The ship participated in most of the major fleet actions conducted by the German Navy during World War I. In 1919, Moltke, along with most of the High Seas Fleet, was scuttled to prevent it from falling into British hands.Photo: Harris & Ewing; Restoration: Staxringold/Durova

Battle of Dogger Bank section

[edit]

The Battle of Dogger Bank section mentions HMS Queen Mary, however this ship was not present at the battle. Likely this is supposed to be HMS Princess Royal.

The source is a German perspective book, they believed it was Queen Mary but were mistaken during the battle. Princeblip (talk) 16:20, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Parsecboy: See above :-) Ed [talk] [OMT] 02:38, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
