Review

[edit]

Lead

[edit]
  • The sentence " He batted and threw left-handed" seems out of place
  • Can "triceps tendinitis" be wikilinked?

Early life

[edit]
  • Birthday not sourced
  • Can the mother and father info not be combined since they use the same reference? Such as, "His father is Australian celebrity trainer Rob Rowland-Smith, known as "The Sandhill Warrior," and his mother Julie is a retired high school physical education teacher."
  • I would also add sister's information under early life

2001–04 seasons

[edit]

2005 season

[edit]

2007 season

[edit]
  • Reference needed for "After the season, he pitched for Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League"

Post-playing career

[edit]
  • "Rowland-Smith is currently a baseball television analyst for Root Sports Northwest..." try and avoid the use of currently. Maybe state when he began as a television analyst (which appears to be 2017).
  • Please archive the link for NxtGen Baseball through the Wayback Machine

Personal life

[edit]
  • "Rowland-Smith was married in 2013 to American actress Amanda Aardsma.[11] Amanda is the sister of Rowland-Smith's former teammate David Aardsma.[66]" can be merged into one sentence
  • Try and not have single sentences. Please try expanding on his Ninja Warrior activity and blog (at least 2-3 sentences).
  • SB Nation is a blog
    • I'm having trouble finding sources that give his results from American Ninja Warrior, so rather than rely on a blog, I decided to take it out, rather than cite with unreliable sources. I did add info about his excitement in participating in the event. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 01:39, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is a basic review Sanfranciscogiants17, I'll do more soon. I also just wanted to say I too had the 1992 World Series on VHS (two copies actually). HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 00:27, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Addressed changes so far. That's cool that you had the 1992 World Series on VHS too! I hope you had access to more games on TV than Rowland-Smith did! Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 01:39, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the fixes, I'll complete the review shortly but it should be an easy pass. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:50, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing review

[edit]
  • Reference 15 isn't working for me
  • Reference 28 is dead
  • Reference 45 is SB Nation but you can use this tweet. Please use Template:Cite tweet
  • Reference 47 is SB Nation but you can use this tweet.
  • Reference 52: Bluebird Banter is the same as SB Nation but you can use this tweet.
  • Reference 55 should specify the language since it isn't English
Sanfranciscogiants17 Once this is fixed, I'll pass it. Good job by the way (and no, all I had was that World Series)! Please consider nominating it for DYK, there are many interesting hooks here.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:21, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Passing, congrats! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 15:34, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
