Note on the article's history

[edit]

This is an article on the crossword compiler - and is not the on the same Ms Crisp the NZ philanthropist/poet who was deleted in an Afd previously. This new article itself was speedily deleted as a result of a speedy request (04:38, 30 January 2013) by User:Stubbleboy . The rationale listed was (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject (CSDH)). I believed this was done outside of our criteria. The article claimed she was a notable compiler ("one of the Guardian's most noted compilers") and had sources to two obits published the UK national press (The Guardian and The Telegraph). I notified both the deleting admin Phantomsteve and Stubbleboy about my concerns without a repsonse and so discussed with the Admin User:Malik_Shabazz who deleted a couple of redirects to the page Vixen (crossword compiler) and Crispa (crossword compiler). Following advice from Malik I then brought it to WP:deletion review after a wait where User:Phantomsteve, the deleting admin, restored the article having been convinced by the arguments presented that there is a sufficient claim of significance, enough to not meet the criteria for A7 deletion. (The articles history aslo now includes the NZ philanthropist/poet)
