In addition to reading like a Press Release, most of this article is a word-for-word plagarism of someone else's work (2nd link). I'm starting to fix it up. Senor Vergara (talk) 04:04, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The part about him being called Paul Harris should be taken out. No one calls him that name to his face or in any other official means. The MMA media do not call him that. The only ones that call him Paul Harris are some bitter commenters of various MMA forums. Never said in a positive way, always in a demeaning and condescending fashion. This was put in by one of those nose-breathers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.154.149.194 (talk) 01:58, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Breathing through one's nose is the socially acceptable way to do it. And Jeremy Botter referred to him as Paul Harris all over twitter today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.171.131.165 (talk) 19:39, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

the lead

[edit]

Should his failure to release his opponents after submissions be in the lead? I'm of the opinion that it should be, as that is the main content of his (recent?) prominent media coverage. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 06:10, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing that no one objected, I have changed the lead. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 11:03, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Someone added that Palhares' nickname is also due to his opponents low rate of takedown success. While FOX stats seem to support the low rate [1] I have never heard or read anything suggested he's called little tree stump because of anything other than his build. Can anyone verify?Yojimbo1941 (talk) 20:03, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Shields fight

[edit]

The controversial WSOF 22 fight between Palhares and Shields has not been overturned according to the NSAC and Sherdog. If someone changes this to a No Contest they need to provide a legitimate source, otherwise it should be reverted. Here is Palhares' record on Sherdog [1] and here is the NSAC decision on Palhares' punishment [2] Yojimbo1941 (talk) 13:08, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
