Mark Dingemanse is clearly Roger Blench, and he edits and polices his own page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.250.44.51 (talk • contribs)
Ouch! Are you serious? If I were Roger Blench, I would not have toned down the last edit and I would certainly have kept the following part, which is quite flattering in my opinion: "Blench has remarkable knowledge on a variety of topics and is extremely well read; his home is an overflowing library. Combined with an abrupt and sometimes shambolic demeanor, he is an iconoclastic individualist (and a daunting conversationalist)." (But then, if Blench himself were editing I don't know if he'd kept it.)
I edited that bit because it seems quite subjective to me, and because we are an encyclopedia and not a hagiography. If you did only a little bit of research you'd see that I happen to have an identity of my own, and one quite distinct from Roger Blench. — mark✎06:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
