Disambiguation

[edit]

I have again changed this page to a disambiguation page. Looking at the precedent for other media titles where the first game in the series was the name of the franchise, I often saw pages devoted to the series in general or a disambiguation page with all of the games listed. Just one example of all of the games' in the series being referred to by the franchise title is "Rise of Nations is back" at the publication showing the re-release of both the original game and Thrones and Patriots. [1] Another example would be the prominent display of "Rise of Nations" on the cover of the games in the franchise versus the subtitles of these games. These games aren't unrelated and just happen to share part of a title, they are in fact even more blurred together than most media franchises. Hello32020 (talk) 13:28, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Even if what you say is true, there is a still a primary topic, which you should have not overlooked. Plus, you made a huge back log of broken links that no longer lead to the video game page. The correct way was to create a page with "(disambiguation)" in the name and then add {{other}} to the top of Rise of Nations (now Rise of Nations (video game)).
As for the word "precedent"; it is taboo in Wikipedia. It is a euphemism for "other stuff exists", the most hated form of discussion in Wikipedia. The only valid form of precedent is explicit consensus. In absence of consensus, policy takes over.
