Album Art

[edit]

Please, if you have the original single on LP, scan it... the one I put in is really a "Remixes 2001" edition. The original is nowhere to be found, despite the vast size of the internets. 72.185.202.180 21:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sample

[edit]

Why is the audio sample "Moody River," which isn't even by the same person? Tsukan 13:35, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The image Image:Moody River by Pat Boone.ogg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Unencyclopedic

[edit]

How is this part encyclopedic? "What you probably didn't know about the song: Christopher Cross was on acid when he wrote the lyrics. We were living in Houston at the time, and on the way down to Austin to record the songs, it was just a beautiful Texas day," he told us. "I took acid. So I wrote the words on the way down from Houston to Austin on acid." 213.119.26.53 (talk) 22:29, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Importance of Learent Wéry version

[edit]

I think the attention given to the Laurent Wéry version is unnecessary. It was only released in one country, and only as a download. Imho it should simply be listed in the cover versions section. 213.119.26.53 (talk) 22:33, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Saxon covered it on their album Destiny

[edit]

http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Destiny_(Saxon_album)

(Just heard it on an internet radio station and unexpected to hear a heavy rock version of this song).78.151.179.152 (talk) 18:24, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tribute

[edit]

1. I propose to rename this section as the standard "In popular culture"

2. There was another popular culture reference- same exact joke was said in the Saturday Night Live news update:

"in other news, Christopher Cross has finally got to Mexico"
This reference definitely predated the Onion article mentioned here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.16.224.6 (talk) 10:33, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
