This draft contained the claim that "James Van dee Dee [sic] was Lincolnville’s other photographer", until I removed this a few minutes ago. No, James Van Der Zee was not. Famously, he was based in and photographed Harlem. The Lincolnville claim about him cited a source. The source is hosted by Squarespace, is anonymous, and looks like the work of a high school student. Yet it gets Van Der Zee's name right, and places him in Harlem, not Lincolnville. If this draft can mangle such basic facts about Van Der Zee, I don't trust its treatment of the other sources that it cites. Somebody should do the tiresome job of verifying that each actually says what it's described as saying before accepting this as an article. -- Hoary (talk) 22:22, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
