RM Board
[edit]Hi Yahya: Thanks for correcting the matter about Rick's RM board membership. I created the article largely by copying Steve's information, and changing the parts that were different. Surprisingly little work, huh? :-). I missed that part though. Btw., do you know of any photos to add to these bios? I really like having a thumbnail image on biographies to give readers a more direct sense of the person they're reading about. LotLE×talk 00:01, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
[1] has pictures of both Wolff and Resnick. I haven't the first idea if using those images fits with the "fair use" idea though. Bone in thigh 04:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Knowledge and Class
[edit]I have ordered the subject and should have a draft article for it shortly. 72.228.177.92 (talk) 06:30, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Ideological Slant
[edit]No source is cited for the claim that Paul A. Baran was "the only tenured Marxist" in US. higher education. His article doesn't make, let alone support, the claim. The edit I'm about to undertake will remove the claim.
The edit will also include at least one stylistic improvement. The language I'm 'improving' convinces me that the claim was put in by an "fact" filled but unlettered ideologue, of the sort that plague Wikipedia. Tapered (talk) 01:03, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]An image used in this article, File:RichardWolff.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations

"Encyclopedic" does not mean; "dry & boring."
[edit]Articles like this are why so many HS students hate history. This reads like a dry resume. (...Of a dead man.) Other than that list, it gives nothing about his ideas, strategies, or philosophy. A list of facts is NOT a description! (Nor a definition) Also; his authorship list is incomplete.

Anti-Nazi activities by RW's father in France
[edit]I just heard a special KPFA fund-raising interview with RW, where he described how his father, a lawyer in France at the time, helped Jews avoid the Nazi occupation and obtain visas to other countries, mostly in Latin America. One of those people subsequently turned out to be a Marxist scholar, who mentored RW while he was at Harvard. I think that this would be a useful addition to the Early life and education section. But the interiew isn't available on the KPFA website. Any thoughts about where else one might look for a suitable citation? jxm (talk) 19:15, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Section on Criticism?
[edit]As he is a Marxist and Marxism is such a tough topic to digest for most parts of the world, that have suffered from it, a well written, detailed section on criticism on his ideas is very much necessary. 2A01:598:D004:AA1A:4B2D:A6E:524C:140 (talk) 08:41, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
- My edit about his involvement with RT was edited out in less than hour. Someone makes it into a full time job to suppress criticism of Marxist intellectuals. Not sure what the options are other than entering into an editing altercation. Anyways, his positions on Ukraine speak for themselves without them being on Wikipedia. 99.225.136.246 (talk) 20:49, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
Hegelian
[edit]In the lex Friedman interview and in his writings he referred to himself as a Hegelian Marxist. 2603:8081:5000:1E66:4D3D:DDB9:F103:7363 (talk) 03:55, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Is Richard D. Wolff Jewish?
[edit]I know his wife is. But it isn't clear from Richard's interviews whether he is or not. He has never explicitly said so but has said ancestors of his died in German concentration camps during the second World War, without explicitly mentioning the Holocaust. 184.148.141.55 (talk) 20:30, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
