Changing the title

[edit]

I'm not sure what is best, to change the title to Raum, and just that, or to make three different entries: Raum Nórson, Raum the Old son of Jotunbjörn and Ketil Raum. It is very easy to mistake Raum the Old for being the eldest, yet Raum the Old is the grandson of Raum son of Nór. The third Raum is the great grandson of the second Raum, the Old. The text that were didn't distinguish at all, although the information was mostly good.

I can understand how easy so many subtleties and deliberate puzzles are lost in translation, often deliberately put by the authors, I think. There are traditions of anchestral worship involving metempsychosis (a la Pythagoras), reincarnation if you like, expressed by the sagas, which make, I believe, the authors of the sagas play this puzzle even harder, building characters through several lives, sometimes oscillating between ancient eras and the future, further to the most deep times of cosmogenesis, back to a variety of contemporaneities. They are not plain nostalgics. Xactnorge (talk) 06:31, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
