Radar detector detector detector detector?
[edit]A radar detector detector detector detector? Is this a joke? --Cirilobeto (talk) 23:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, not a joke. Radar detector detectors are used extensively in Virginia and Washington DC as radar detectors are illegal there. They can also be used nationwide to detect commerical drivers using radar detectors, as federal law prohibits the use of radar detectors for vehicles over a certain weight. --Aka042 (talk) 02:52, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- I think you misread the question. After a radar detector detector(d*2), the article mentions a radar detector detector detector(d*3). The question is about a radar detector detector detector detector(d*4). http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Radar_detector_detector&oldid=242027710 The run-on has been removed from the article since this question was written.R00m c (talk) 07:24, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- The line "due to escalation, the development of the radar-detector-detector-detector-detector-detector was deemed necessary" is now entirely my favorite part of Wikipedia. Please never remove it. Cramyourspam (talk) 01:19, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism?
[edit]The spectre IV can NOT detect the beltronics sti, sti-r, or escort 9500ci. I have changed the article to reflect this. This is either someone trying to fool people or blatant lying on stealth micro systems part. Their site claims that it detects all radar detectors certified as of October 2002. The sti, sti-r, and 9500ci were all certified after this date and showed zero emissions on FCC certified testing equipment. The Spectre can not detect these radar detectors because there is no emissions to detect. Spectre IV against sti --99.142.46.213 (talk) 06:04, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Radar Detector Detector Protector
[edit]Given that the article mentions that "adequate shielding" is an easy way to counteract radar detector detectors, I propose that it be mentioned that these shields are, in fact, radar detector detector protectors. 173.2.69.205 (talk) 17:17, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
