Recently the link Purpurin (glass) was removed with the comment "removing non-disamb links". Presumably the link was a redlink at the time. Whatever the "rules" may say, redlinks in disambs (as in any other kind of article) are an important feature of Wikipedia: they serve to inform editors (and potential editors) of articles that are needed but do not yet exist.

In this case, someone created the article shortly after the link was added. So, the deletion was not only inappropriate but also too quick.

Erm, purpurin (glass) was not removed, glass was simply unlinked because there should only be links to the target, not everything related to the target. Aka "1,2,4-Trihydroxyanthraquinone, a natural red/yellow dye found in the madder plant" should read like that, and not like "1,2,4-Trihydroxyanthraquinone, a natural red/yellow dye found in the madder plant".
