The result of the move request was: Moved to Public Warning System (Singapore). (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 04:40, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Public Warning System → Singapore Public Warning System – The title is misleading. The content is about a specific system, not about the general term. Ergolight (talk) 21:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose Unless there is evidence that this system in question is actually called Singapore Public Warning System it can't be used since that would be a case of Wikipedia creating a name. The only other possibility I can see would be to create a general article about pubic waring systems, move this title there, and then rename this article Public Warning System (Singapore) for dab purposes assuming that there is enough info for a general article of this sort. Either way, the proposed title can't be used unless Singapore is actually part of the name.--64.229.164.74 (talk) 03:53, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support move to Public Warning System (Singapore). Too generic to stand alone. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:23, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose per IP. Compare to the outcomes at National Pension Scheme. It's very probable that we wouldn't be having this discussion if the topic were in the US or UK. The current hatnote to Warning system is sufficient, and there doesn't appear to be much there to spin off into a Public warning system. --BDD (talk) 18:06, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support either proposed or to Public Warning System (Singapore). In my google books search I believe only one link on the first two pages was for Singapore. The other related to early warning system in general or for other geographical locations.[1] --Labattblueboy (talk) 19:36, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose, but Support move to Public Warning System (Singapore). Too generic, and PWS (Public Warning System) sometimes capitalized in technology books.I just de-redlinked the small caps to REDIRECT to Emergency population warning In ictu oculi (talk) 05:32, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
