[edit]Is this really spelled as "Latinamerica"? User:Zoe|(talk) 03:14, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hmmm... certainly doesn't look like it. I'll go ahead and move it. —HorsePunchKid→龜 03:33, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
Juanes Info
[edit]Where did u get the info of juanes being the host or bogota being the next location for the awards?
Who keeps changing the 2006 Host and Country????
[edit]First it was in Bogota, Colombia with Juanes hosting, now it's in Maracaibo, Venezuela... Has MTV even announced any of those??? If you know, please answer.
Name change
[edit]Now that MTV has announced the name change for the awards... should the name of the article also be changed???? --Andresg770 18:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Personally, I still believe that the name change should happen because this doesn't look like it will be a one-year thing, but a permanent one. Either ways, "VMALA" and "MTV Video Music Awards Latin America" would redirect to this article. Also, if that was done with PAX (now i), then it should be done here, too. Please leave your comments about this and after a week I'll check to see if the majority agrees or disagrees with me. --Andresg770 17:40, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- In es:wiki, the name was changed by "Premios MTV Latinoamérica". The name should be changed here too. --Coraje 16:43, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
France has one MTV VMALA, who was the winner? I can't find it in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.45.111.67 (talk) 16:57, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Manu Chao, who won the 2002 award for Best Alternative Artist, is the only French artist to have ever won a VMALA. --Andresg770 23:12, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo05.jpg
[edit]Image:Logo05.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with File:VMALA 2003 Logo.png
[edit]The image File:VMALA 2003 Logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:43, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Hispanic-oriented award
[edit]I think that it should be explained in this article that the awards are given to artists that come mostly from hispanic countries, as Brazil (just to mention the largest absence) is excluded from the list. When talking about Latin America - even if the award itself is associated to this expression - we should always consider all languages and cultures that make part of this part of the world. jgsodre.
