Skid Row dates
[edit]Does anyone know when his movie Skid Row is comming out? He sends 9 days as a homeless person in LA's Skid Row. It was mention tonight on Tavis Smiley but I haven't seen any mention on it on wikipedia or anywhere else.--4.154.69.106 04:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
It is coming out Friday, August 24th in New York, DC and Los Angeles. Probably be a short run. The showtimes are on the movies website - www.skidrowthemovie.com. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.100.84.109 (talk) 18:07, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
Why would someone remove the only statement in article that was backed up by a reference?
[edit]Removing a section with accompanying references to back up is pure and simply vandalism: In January of 2010 the New York Daily News quoted Pras as having said he "personally would try to assassinate [former Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide]" should the twice democratically elected President return to his home country of Haiti. 96.246.11.70 (talk) 06:59, 6 February 2010 (UTC) [1]

References
[edit]Why are there no references? Also - the article says "member of the hip hop trio The Fugees, considered one of the most influential groups of the 1990s for their album The Score." - considered by who to be influential? Is this limited to the US? In the UK they were an also-ran at best. I can barely remember them and I'm a music afficionado. Please can someone who knows more about the subject sort out the references?82.36.250.101 (talk) 17:43, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Criminal complaint
[edit]"As alleged in the forfeiture complaint, multiple bank accounts were opened at U.S. financial institutions by Prakazrel (“Pras”) Michel and former Justice Department employee George Higginbotham in 2017 to receive tens of millions of dollars in funds from overseas accounts controlled by Jho Low. In opening these accounts, Michel and Higginbotham allegedly made false and misleading statements to U.S. financial institutions that housed the accounts in order to mislead these institutions about the source of the funds and to obscure Jho Low’s involvement in these transactions. Michel and Higginbotham allegedly intended to use these funds to attempt to influence the Justice Department’s investigation of Jho Low and 1MDB. As alleged in the complaint, Higginbotham, as a Justice Department employee, played no role in any aspect of the investigation and failed to influence any aspect of the Department’s investigation of Low or 1MDB." https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/us-seeks-recover-over-73-million-proceeds-traceable-bank-fraud-conceal-involvement-jho-taek https://melmagazine.com/en-us/story/the-perfect-irony-that-the-wolf-of-wall-street-was-also-a-real-life-scam If someone feels like adding a section to this page... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.222.144.112 (talk) 15:17, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
M1DB Scandal
[edit]As alleged in the forfeiture complaint, multiple bank accounts were opened at U.S. financial institutions by Prakazrel (“Pras”) Michel and former Justice Department employee George Higginbotham in 2017 to receive tens of millions of dollars in funds from overseas accounts controlled by Jho Low. In opening these accounts, Michel and Higginbotham allegedly made false and misleading statements to U.S. financial institutions that housed the accounts in order to mislead these institutions about the source of the funds and to obscure Jho Low’s involvement in these transactions. Previously, Pras was accused of using part of a $20mm gift to make a $1.2mm to a super PAC called Black Men Vote, which supported Obama's reelection campaign. Donating money to a candidate on behalf of another person is a violation of federal campaign finance laws. - The article states that "Pras was found guilty of 10 criminal counts." Should we add the names of each of these counts (in an effort to make this article more properly encyclopedic)? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 00:36, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
