Obstascle Course Scene
[edit]I find it hard to believe that a movie would use a scene where a guy breaks his arm for real. Lots42 06:50, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Listen to the cast commentary of the obstacle course scene on the DVD. The info is verified there. And it wasn't his arm, it was a lower limb. HarrisGW 04:32, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- I put in 'As noted in the DVD commentary' Lots42 10:31, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Police academy .jpg
[edit]Image:Police academy .jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bobcat Goldthwait
[edit]The guy with the high pitched voice, not the sound effects one. Quite a large omission don't you think?'
Zed wasn't in the first film, he is the gang leader in 2 and a recruit in 3. --121.222.223.99 (talk) 09:56, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Revenue?
[edit]The infobox states gross revenue is $81,198,894 but intro states it is $146 million. Both are uncited. Carlwev (talk) 16:06, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- Worldwide gross now readded with citation. Sudiani (talk) 13:58, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
Police Academy 8
[edit]In this interview with Michael Winslow he states that they are working on the script for Police Academy 8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXDZnxhNbWo DJAikou (talk) 10:10, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Car Park Scene
[edit]The car park scene was filmed in downtown Toronto, not in Hamilton as is written in the article. One angle shows St Andrew's Church while another shows the very distinctive Roy Thomson Hall. 50.186.198.74 (talk) 16:26, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
Oakland
[edit]The riot gear in the first movie states that they're in Oakland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.220.43.22 (talk) 18:27, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

- It seems it's one credit for screenplay and one for the original story. --TheBearPaw (talk) 22:21, 26 October 2014 (UTC)

Connection to The Rookies
[edit]I have noticed that the main characters have a stunning similarity to the main characters of a police drama, The Rookies, which was produced a whole decade before Police Academy.
Do you know if it is a known, conscious resemblance? Did the director want to mock or parody the successful Rookies? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.249.207.44 (talk) 01:18, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Cult status?
[edit]In May 2020, User:Raymondjohn1234 added the claim that this film had "cult status" but did not provide any source.[1] The film was popular enough to spawn multiple sequels but that of itself is no indication of "cult status", and I seriously doubt this claim. I tagged it as citation needed, but no suitable reference has been added yet, and I plan to remove the unsourced claim soon. -- 109.76.215.76 (talk) 02:58, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
New Recruits?
[edit]Yeah, uh, this is, like a tautology? You know like saying the the same same thing thing twice twice? Recruits are by definition ‘new’. The word doesn’t mean ‘trainees’ it means ‘refreshments’. This is like saying ‘new novices’. Okay, never mind... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:44B8:3102:BB00:E9F3:3229:793A:4998 (talk) 07:06, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
