For consideration: Factual changes to PicMonkey page
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Would like to propose changes to this page for factual accuracy and increased transparency. Edits include:
-- Remove duplicate reference to Charlie Whiton under "History"
-- Remove Brent Chudoba from page.
Rationale: He no longer works at PicMonkey; he is the COO/CFO at Thrive Global [1], [2]
-- Change "Free users can access most of the tools and features on the site, and membership provides the full design and photo editing workflow, including saving, sharing to social accounts like Facebook and Twitter, and access to Hub" to "PicMonkey uses a subscription-based model with a free 7-day trial. With the paid subscription, users have full access to tools and features on the site, including saving, sharing to social accounts like Facebook and Twitter, and access to Hub."
Rationale: The existing language obfuscates the pricing structure. The free option only lasts for 7 days as a trial; the free app doesn't offer the full range of features that the paid desktop subscription does. Suggested change for transparency. [3]

New Owner: Requesting factual changes to PicMonkey page
[edit]Notice: CQSECU (first account, lost password) is no longer managing this request for changes. Instead, (Shereepic) has taken over ownership of this request for changes on behalf of PicMonkey. She represents PicMonkey and cannot make the requested changes herself, so a member of the community is still required to make the changes. For any questions about the requests made by CQSECU please direct them to User:Shereepic. This same request was also raised in the companies page, for reference. Thank you.

[edit]- The duplicate listing of Mr. Whiton's name in the text was deleted.
- The text was revised to reflect Mr. Chudoba's exit from the company in early 2018.
- The proposed text regarding the obfuscated free-trial period was not added, as the proposed explanation does not define free use in this context. (i.e., Does "free usage" of all capabilities pertain only to a 7 day period of usage, whereupon after seven days the usage would be converted into a continued, but restricted-use, environment? Or does free use mean unobstructed access for only 7 days, after-which no access is possible?)
- There is no "ownership for request of changes" for PicMonkey. The article remains open for any editor to make changes, except those with any kind of COI with regards to the company. Theoretically, this could include any number of people, including present and former employees, their family, friends, etc. These individuals are all welcome to use the COI edit request system at will. .spintendo 21:54, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
