There is a spelling mistake (typo) in the embedded graphic file "Photo_oxidation.PNG" : scisson should be scission.
If I work out how to edit this, I shall do so. Meanwhile, someone more familiar with the site may do it, if they wish. Dendropithecus (talk) 11:27, 17 April 2012 (UTC) (I've edited my own comment) Dendropithecus (talk) 11:42, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"Photo-oxidation is the degradation of a polymer surface"??
"Photo-oxidation of polymers is the degradation of a polymer surface", yes. But "Photo-oxidation is the degradation of a any surface", no?

UV degradation is focused entirely on polymers. Factors of polymer weathering is largely a description of photo-oxidation. As the weathering of plastics is caused by UV degradation - in the specific form of photo-oxidation - these pages should be merged, probably under this page name as it's the more commonly used in the literature. --Project Osprey (talk) 15:48, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
