59 11
[edit]the caption is incorrect if you look at the official results at http://www.bislettgames.com/2007/results/re0840040.html you see that he only jumped 17.35 which is clearly not 59 11. 59 11 is 18.26. 17.35 is 56 11.

Favorite?
[edit]Favorite? How was he favorite when Nelson Evora is the world Champ, and holds the best mark of the year with a stuning 17.71, which is even better then this guys best ever... I mean get real! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.196.56.218 (talk) 19:18, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Where do you have 17.71 from? [1] says: "Former world champion Walter Davis of the United States failed to qualify for Beijing, and Evora arrived here with a season's best of only 17.24m, which ranked him at 17th position in the world lists." Being World Champion last year should not make him favourite a year later with a poor season best. The article claim that Idowu was favourite is sourced to [2] which says: "Idowu, who kept his hair dyed red after learning that the colour was considered lucky in China, went into the Games as the favourite". school sports
[edit]"Was a talented sportsman at school in both basketball and American football". His school offers many sports but not American football. Maybe he played it out of school, but it's not clear where. His Telegraph interview about his school sporting experience doesn't mention it. Hakluyt bean (talk) 22:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
