Idents
[edit]Nearly a year later and those cringeworthy idents are still here. Bring back the balloon! And while you're at it, tell the bumbling buffoons at BBC Two to bring back their famous idents of a few years back! And tell News 24 to get rid of those stupid little orbiting headline fragments at the top of the hour! 86.136.90.90 22:35, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Interestingly I was about to express my gratitude for the new circle idents which are much better and almost up to the standards of the globe balloon (although I think Channel 4 might still have the edge), when I watched the rhythm and movement montage and decided some of them were actually excellent (although some of them still grated). I suppose familiarity breeds contempt where idents are concerned and they can never last more than a few years. Having said that though, bring back the interesting 2s! 11:59, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Expansion
[edit]Is there nothing to say about this man beyond his comments on channel idents? What about his career at Thames, or before that? Has he made any noteworthy programming decisions at BBC1? Compared to the article at Lorraine Heggessey, this is quite scant. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 05:35, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- There's plenty of reference material around at the BBC Press Office and the online newspaper archives and so forth. I'll see if I can knock something better up later on today. Angmering 07:37, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- 'Tis done. Hopefully it's a bit better now. Angmering 21:05, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- good work sir Jem 21:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed — excellent work! Why, the place is transformed! :D —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 23:14, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
