English?
[edit]This is probably a pretty minor complaint, but in the intro the "English" version of the Office is mentioned, and it's ambiguous as to whether this means the American or the British version. The sentence itself is not cited, so this should be fixed.

- It is assumed that the American version of The Office is being referenced, because the parallel between Leslie Knope and Michael Scott is drawn multiple times, who is the central character of the American version of the office. QWERTY101010101 (talk) 21:00, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
Citations needed
[edit]I would like to see this article reach GA status, however I am concerned that there are currently quite a few statements that need citations. This article may still need further work before it's ready. Knope7 (talk) 00:46, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Adam Scott "left" Party Down?
[edit]The statement "Scott left Party Down to join the series" is not supported by the citation given. In fact, it is contradicted by an Adam Scott quote in that article where he said he'd be open to doing a third season of Party Down. In the absense of a better citation I'd replace it with something like "Scott joined the cast shortly after shooting wrapped on the last season of Party Down".
I seem to remember reading somewhere that Scott going to Parks&Rec was a factor in the cancellation of Party Down, but I can't find a citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bsammon (talk • contribs) 23:42, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
- This article has a pretty good explanation of what happened. To summarize, Starz signed the cast to season long contracts (rather than multi-year deals) to save money. That meant after each season, the cast was free to pursue other projects. After season 2, Adam booked Parks before it was clear whether Party Down would come back or not. Party Down was ultimately cancelled. I was going to change the language in the article, but I actually think that the way the cast and character list is written, it might make more sense to remove the reference to Party Down but also the mention of previous projects from main cast members. I don't think they really flow well as part of the list. It's been suggested before that this article look to The Office for guidance, and maybe it would be better to make a separate Cast and Characters sections written in prose rather than in list form. Last appearance section of the Leslie Knope page
[edit]Maybe this'd have more of a chance being seen here than there, though this talk page doesn't seem to see much traffic either. Leslie Knope's "Last Appearance" was changed at some point to Amy Poehler's in-character appearance in a Saturday Night Live skit. Isn't this field normally for their last appearance of the show itself? Zaathras (talk) 05:13, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
