ἀγορανομεῖον

[edit]

I'm sorry for my ignorance here, but two questions about this word. First of all, Grenfell and Hunt have a circumflex over the iota, which I can't find in the unicode font. I saw somewhere else this tilde called a circumflex in reference to ancient Greek, so I put it in there. I hope someone who knows better than I can either confirm it or replace it. Second, I don't have a Greek dictionary. I'm thinking that this word means something like "the place of the agoranomoi", so maybe the archives where the wills and so forth were kept? Maybe someone who knows can put a translation of it in there. Thanks!— alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 00:05, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
