In order to maintain an organized list of cited works, this article uses shortened footnotes for all references to cited works, with the full citation placed in the References section.
Further information
Per Wikipedia:Citing sources, please continue to maintain the same style of use when adding citations. Footnotes will be altered to fit this article's style if they do not conform to the following rule: All full citations should appear in the References section, and follow whatever the article's convention is for making footnotes to the cited work. See the article for usage examples. The typical convention for an article is to use a short footnote template such as {{sfn}}, {{harvnb}} but plain text could be the convention to be followed. If you have any questions or problems, please ask on the talk page and someone will be happy to help you. Thank you.
I have placed a notice ({{Note short footnote style 2 in use}} at the start of this talk page following other notices. This template provides information to editors perhaps unfamiliar with how to add short footnotes and full citations to the sorted list, and aids citation editors helping maintain consistent use of this style by convert inline citations to sfns if needed.J JMesserly (talk) 01:22, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
