Most dangerous section of town?

[edit]

I have lived in Atlanta all my life, and while the 4th Ward is pretty rough, it is definately not the roughest in the whole city. This section is highly opinionated, and if true, should be referenced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bwjsmartdude (talkcontribs) 21:50, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

external website is also invalid -- has nothing to do with the old fourth ward area of atlanta.. 99.157.59.219 (talk) 21:37, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

SoNo

[edit]

I removed information about SoNo, which is not part of the Old Fourth Ward. Bedford-Pine was not located in the Old Fourth Ward, and the map is incorrect (which is why it has been removed). Bedford-Pine, as well as Buttermilk Bottom, were located in what now is known as SoNo (Atlanta). --Mmann1988 (talk) 18:49, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the official NPU maps (green is o4w, yellow is Sweet Auburn) everything east of Piedmont is in O4W, while the part W of Piedmont is in Downtown. I am all for including sub-neighborhoods that developers define (and then the press picks up and puts into popular usage) like Luckie Marietta and like SoNo, but let's be clear about who is defining these - these are development groups and are not the official neighborhoods of Atlanta: Could you adjust your edits to include this aspect of how neighborhods are defined? Otherwise is looks like we have a bias towards real estate developersKeizers (talk) 23:19, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and corrected the information implying that O4W jurisdiction does not extend west to Piedmont. It may be wordsmithed, but this area is def. part of O4W and the overlap with SoNo should be explained fairly and without bias to developers like CAP. I am involved in O4W neighborhood groups and this is important to get correct. (They oversee these areas - the former Bedford Pine - and can say a lot about it!)Keizers (talk) 02:01, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
