Possible conflict of interest

[edit]

The section on the book on Nazi drug-use appears to be unduly positive, when it's actually been criticised extremely heavily. Concerned that somebody may have edited the article to be favourable to the author.

I agree. I add comments by historians who took issue with Ohler's book and method. 85.4.100.109 (talk) 16:35, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mommsen's opinion

[edit]

Writing "Mommsen, one of Germany's leading historians", is a POV half-truth. According to A. Beevor (New York Review of Books), ″It is not hard to see why Hans Mommsen was fascinated by Ohler’s research. He was the leader of the functionalist school, which believed in the chaotic nature of the Nazi regime and that Hitler was a “weak dictator”. Nothing seems to demonstrate this better than Hitler’s drug addiction.″ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.235.14.110 (talk) 06:43, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Enthusiasts

[edit]

I've had a look around, and can't find mention of the Dublin-based 'BBC enthusiasts book club' anywhere, other than in this article and in articles, and comments based on it. Is it a real thing, or an attempt to add legitimacy to the article/book? ck (talk) 08:35, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was also struck by that line. I'm deleting it, pending provision of evidence that it's an important enough organization to justify inclusion in the article. Pablo Stafforini (talk) 09:48, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
