[edit]It should be noted that Nigel Olsson is an excellent drummer, and singer. I have listened to a lot of his music from that he did solo... apart from the Elton years... and he has a definate soulful voice. He seems to be a well rounded musician and I'm told, is an exceptional human being as well.
- Thanks. Nigel's mum. Garth of the Forest (talk) 04:11, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Equipment list deleted
[edit]The equipment list violates WP:PROMO and meets criteria for deletion under WP:Delete.
- The mention of previous endorsement deals at the bottom of that section implies (though obliquely) this is a list of his current endorsement deals, which means advertizing.
- The section consists entirely of material obtained from DW, Paiste, Remo, and Vic Firth, regarding their endorser.
- WP is not a place to promote products per WP:PROMO.
- The sources for this list are the manufacturers' webpages, and nothing else. (They are not independent, third-party sources, per WP:PROMO.)
- The items in the list are sorted by manufacturer.
- While these manufacturers are notable, they are not the subject of the article. Nigel Olsson is the subject.
- The above fails WP:G11, speedy deletion criteria for exclusively promotional material. (Not the article, only the section. See the next item.)
- Under WP:DEL-REASON criteria 1 (meets speedy deletion criteria) and 4 (advertizing), "subject to the condition that improvement or deletion of an offending section, if practical, is preferable to deletion of an entire page,"
I have therefore deleted the list. Dcs002 (talk) 06:49, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- It appears to have been restored, so I have deleted it again. Arbalest Mike (talk) 00:31, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
