File:Natural Earth projection SW.JPG to appear as POTD
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Natural Earth projection SW.JPG will be appearing as picture of the day on October 15, 2014. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2014-10-15. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:02, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Discussion needed
[edit]This article only explains how the projection is produced; there is no discussion of how it was developed (other than to say who did it), why it was derived, what its advantages and disadvantages are, etc. As such, it's practically a stub. --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
