Shortened games

[edit]

The sentence: "The 1998–99 NBA lockout, which lasted for more than six months and forced the 1998–99 season to be shortened to 50 games", could imply that the whole season only consists of 50 games. Any idea to reword the sentence? — MT (talk) 04:53, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There was no 1998/1999 nba season, only 1999 season, facts & details:

56/42 games with michael jordan, 7th heaven was almost guaranteed; bulls vs spurs final, such match made it heaven does not get any better!!!

mj had cut finger; he said he was unable to play for at least 2 months but i doubt that; if he wanted, he could have played and without jackson, victory would be sweater, proving MJ can do it without coach who knows his strength and weaknesses.

56 games vs 50 is not much difference; jordan could have played; extend the season into july; but this way every team plays each other twice, that is only 8% of 82 games season; jordan also cut his middle finger on a cigar and would not have played for a month, so he claims, but i doubt it; this was great opportunity for the bulls and they blew it; coach jackson was gone but id stick around to win championship without familiar face.

42 games (51%) season would be fine too, each team plays twice in the conference, then once from other conference~! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.108.145.235 (talk) 21:07, 11 August 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.25.18.165 (talk) [reply]
