English/German Quran translation by M. Hamidullah?
[edit]Do anyone know where to find online public available websites that includes the English and German Quran translation by M. Hamidullah? --Imdkzmaa (talk) 11:38, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Category removal by robot
[edit]In reply to the comment made at this feedback page: Following the conclusion of this discussion, the category named "People with multiple doctoral degrees" has been deleted. So, even if this person has multiple doctoral degrees, it was still correct for the bot to remove that line from the end of the article. The project is no longer maintaining an automatic list of these people. -- John of Reading (talk) 11:16, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Abundance of resources about this great man
[edit]If anyone of you got time, you may read this at here: http://www.salaam.co.uk/knowledge/impact/Vol33No1to3pp14to44v3.pdf
[You might need to wait for a while before the entire document is fully appeared. I think the salaam.co.uk server which is used to host this pdf document is kind of slow. Please be patience] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.171.167.181 (talk) 10:41, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Puff
[edit]While Muhammad Hamidullah was undoubtedly prolific, there are not "over 450 books cited in Worldcat" there are 384 "works" which can include articles, translations, and even different editions of the same book. Figures from the issue of Impact mentioned above vary from 165 upwards. His grand-daughter apparently was working on a bibliography.
We have to be very careful which sources we use for this type of biography, as someone as well thought of has much written about him tat is exaggerated, while well meaning.
All the best, Rich Farmbrough, 05:19, 19 April 2014 (UTC).

PLEASE REMOVE HIS PHOTO
[edit]As someone who read a lot about his background and his academic works. He was extremely strict regarding the Islamic ruling on PHOTOGRAPHY. He had a very strong feeling about taking a personal photograph and vehemently opposed any photograph of him be disseminated widely.
