The Black Book

[edit]

It is my understanding that The Black Book of 1943 by Makram Ebeid, which listed 108 cases of corruption involving Nahas Pasha and his wife, is fact mostly correct. It is true that the book was written in malice as Nahas had expelled his patron Ebeid from the Wafd, and this was Ebeid's way of getting even, but that does not mean he made it all up. This article says that Ebeid apologized for his "lies" in The Black Book, but I am not aware of him ever doing that. Unless one can a find a source for that, I think that statment should be removed. --A.S. Brown (talk) 04:35, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
