@Knoterification: If you really dislike the current controversy section, a Wikipedia policy compliant way to "fix" it is to introduce an "opposing" view if it's backed by notable, reliable sources. I won't complain and will happily support you if you add, backed by a reference, something like "According to Brazilian commentator XYZ, this controversy is overblown, and the monument is fine because (insert reason here)." However, as stated before, you can't rewrite what the protesters / opposers think - they might be wrong, but that's still their opinion, and they don't think the Bandeirantes were worthy of commemoration. Their reasons for this belief need to be explained, too, just as the reasons for supporters of the monument can also be explained. SnowFire (talk) 21:17, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
