Interpretation of reference paper

[edit]

Should “through an enzymatic action of nutrients absorbed from the environment” be “through enzymatic digestion of nutrients absorbed from the environment”? - Nutrients do not typically have enzymatic action in organisms that eat those nutrients. Storslem (talk) 06:43, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Revision of a sentence in "Metabolic processes"

[edit]

"In all other eukaryotes that seemingly lack mitochondria, there is nuclear DNA that contains some of the genes required to assemble mitochondria, but no such genes are present in Monocercomonoides."

This sentence makes is sound like mitochondria is assembled by nuclear DNA, which is completely nonsensical. I think this needs to be corrected. Ebikemathis (talk) 21:12, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
