Proposed deletion – explanation
[edit]The user Trivialist proposed the page for deletion due to lack of notability. I do not agree with that. It was one of the most popular (if not the most popular) antivirus programs in Poland in its best times. If it is not notable enough to be included in the English-language Wikipedia, then why is Gadu-Gadu, not to mention Tlen.pl present here? - Some sources:
- [1] (2002): Najbardziej znany polski program antywirusowy mks_vir... – The most known Polish antivirus program mks_vir...
- [2] (2004): Demo jednego z najpopularniejszych polskich programów antywirusowych... – Demo of one of the most popular Polish antivirus programs...
- [3] (2007): mks_vir 2k7 to nowa wersja najpopularniejszego polskiego programu antywirusowego... – mks_vir 2k7 is a new version of the most popular Polish antivirus program...
- [4] (2004): Jeden z najpopularniejszych i najstarszych polskich programów antywirusowych... – One of the most popular and oldest Polish antivirus programs...
- [[5]]: Podstawą jest system antyvirusowy. Najpopularniejszymi programami tego typu są Norton AntVirus oraz Mks_vir... – The basic thing is an antivirus system. The most popular programs of this type are Norton Antivirus and Mks_vir...
- [[6] (1999): W Polsce najbardziej rozpowszechniony jest program antywirusowy Marka Sella - MkS-Vir, wciąż uaktualniany... – In Poland, the most popular is the antivirus program by Marek Sell – MkS-Vir, still updated...
- It is a really big part of IT history a Poland and I don't understand how it can be considered not notable. I wait for a wider explanation from Trivialist, why he thinks so. Yes, the meaning of this software was local, but it was enormous! Kpc21 [TALK] 01:32, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
- WP:OTHERSTUFFEXIST is not a argument to keep this article, but to consider deleting others. However, Ia agree mks_vir is likely notable, and the some of the links you provided above seem to show that (reviews in PC magazines, for example). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:02, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
