Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous MedicineMinistry of Health (Sri Lanka) – New name of the ministry as per Extraordinary Gazette 2281/41 of 27 May 2022 2001:BB8:2001:2:0:0:0:75 (talk) 16:18, 10 June 2022 (UTC)— Relisting. Spekkios (talk) 01:30, 23 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. >>> Extorc.talk 14:52, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose for now. Our naming conventions prefer the common name to the official name, but insufficient evidence of even the official name is supplied here. The link seems to be broken, but when I tried to fix it by replacing the "%20" with an underscore, there is nothing at the target about a name change. There are references to a "Minister of Health" but there is nothing that indicates that is particularly the official name of the office or of the ministry. Dekimasuよ! 03:52, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • This appears to be a little-watched naming convention. It does say to use official names, but it appears to result in a guideline that conflicts with policy (WP:AT). (Sure is a lot of "As per..." here....) Dekimasuよ! 04:24, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • On balance, this is not an unreasonable request, but it should have to stand on its merits. We have 1) a nomination from an IP only showing interest in Sri Lankan ministries and Finnish airports; 2) support from another IP nearby the first (and far from Sri Lanka) only showing interest in Sri Lankan ministries; 3) support from a third IP (far from Sri Lanka) only showing interest in Sri Lanka and Finnish airports. Then there is support from an editor mainly showing interest in the Sri Lankan government and Norwegian politics. While assuming good faith, this appears highly improbable. Perhaps Obi2canibe can suggest why these sorts of topics might attract a set of different editors? Dekimasuよ! 06:05, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This discussion is a bit of a mess, but ultimately a quick Google News search shows that the vast majority of reliable sources (before and after May 2022) have been using the more concise "Ministry of Health". It seems that the proposed title is the common name, so unless there's something I'm missing I'd support the move. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 22:37, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
