Dind's Point

[edit]

It appears that this locality was previously known as Dind's Point. See for example Bell's Life in Sydney 28 May 1853. William Dind was a theatrical and sporting promoter whose residence was in Alfred Street South, on the corner of the present Fitzroy Street. Dind Street is a little further south of this intersection. See Dind's obit. in Town and Country Journal 2 February 1895 Bluedawe 22:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Milsons Point, New South Wales

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Milsons Point, New South Wales's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "1840s map":

  • From James Milson: Robert Campbells Estate, Milsons Point and Kirribilli, Sydney (Map). Scale indeterminable. [184-?]. 1840 - 1849. Map of peninsula at North Sydney showing leases, roads, weather board cottages, jetties, wells, orchards, bee hives, barns, milking bails and stables and the graves of the three typhoid victims from the Surry. inset. • From Jeffrey Street: Robert Campbells Estate, Milsons Point and Kirribilli, Sydney (Map). Scale indeterminable. [184-?]. 1840 - 1849. Map of peninsula at North Sydney showing leases, roads, weather board cottages, jetties, wells, orchards, bee hives, milking bails and stables and the graves of the three typhoid victims and the attending physician from the Surry. inset. I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:48, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
