Major employers
[edit]I removed it because it's a spam magnet. I could see a statement about the *largest* employer in town, but listing a POV list of "major employers" is just leaving the article open for every mom-&-pop operation that wants to be listed. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 00:31, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I think there are enough wikipedia editors who know Milford to remove them. Spam magnets exist all over wikipedia; we can hardly leave out everything that might be one. I think this is a reasonable tidbit. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 01:36, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- David, seriously. How many editors do you think "know Milford"? And why exactly is "Cirtronics" notable enough to include in a Wikipedia article? And how many other towns or cities in NH list any companies on their articles? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 01:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Cirtronics has 185 employees, according to its Web site, which puts it right up there with Hitchiner/Hendrix. Other NH towns which have a large number of jobs relative to their population like Milford should have such information, since it's more relevant to life (albeit more difficult to ascertain from a distance) than some other information we provide on town sites. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 11:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Just to throw my two cents in, I lived in Milford for several years, and of the companies you just mentioned, I've only heard of Hitchiner. Shrillpicc100 (talk) 01:14, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
