[edit]My grandfather raised his family of a wife and 3 daughters in Michelbach. At some point they were moved to the Jewish ghetto in Vienna. The story goes he sold his farm to an Austrian Nazi who never paid. The family was promised a small piece of land in Poland where they could grow vegetables. It was a ruse. They wound up in Maly Trostinets camp outside of Minsk. My mother 8 yo survived the camp along with her father and an older sister. One day I’d like to visit.
