Tant and detroit you are not the only ones with info on the show! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.91.110.12 (talk) 09:05, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming you're referring to the fact that Detroitpiston and I actively "police" this article, and I recently removed some trivia/original research that you restored here? Hopefully you will notice that this article is well-organized, well-sourced, and follows Wikipedia guidelines, and without bragging I can say that Detroitpiston and I have made and kept it that way. Anyone is of course welcome to add information to the article that is appropriate and referenced. This bit about where the series is produced has a few problems. The PDF source (I'm unsure of it's reliability of course) perhaps establishes the pilot was shot at Calvert, but the rest of the information about other shows shot there, and their notability in this context, are not established by the source. The observation about the back alley scene/Peach Pit is the very example of unsourced original research. And for the record, names of TV shows should be italicized (and linked if this is there first appearance in the article). Sloppy.— TAnthonyTalk 19:49, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why should anyone bother with internal links if you are going to remove it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.91.107.130 (talk) 20:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm simply reminding you of proper formatting, which has nothing to do with the validity of your edits. If the information you add is more than just your personal knowledge or opinions, there's a greater likelihood it will belong in an article.— TAnthonyTalk 21:47, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional episodes

[edit]

The sources note that six more scripts have been ordered (which is noted within the article), not that six more episodes will be produced. This is an important differentiation. This is a common situation when it has not been decided whether a series will be kept or cancelled; scripts are obviously written in advance of production, and not commissioning more scripts would prevent new episodes from being shot when the current run of shows have been completed (and shutting down or holding a crew for weeks costs more money than just buying some scripts that may never be produced). It is basically violating WP:CRYSTAL to extrapolate what the source says to the next "logical" step. When and if these episodes are produced, some source will exist to confirm it, and it is not detrimental to the article to leave the "19" out.— TAnthonyTalk 23:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cancellation

[edit]

In keeping with their affiliate agreement CW affiliates were told by the network 30 days in advance on 2/10/09 by internal memo that the show was not being renewed and that CBS productions was shutting down the show in Van Nuys by the end of February to use the studio for another project set to begin production in April. Only one more original episode is set to air on 3/9/10 titled Copa de Ora, The CW has also promised affiliates that if the ratings are not "substancially imporved" on 3/9, an impossibility for MP that no more episodes would air on network. Beginning 2/10 affiliates have been directed to phase out all planned MP marketing and promotions campaigns immediatly. The remaining episodes which were in some stage of completion titled Charterville and Mulholland would not air on the CW network unless there was some "miraculous" ratings on 3/9. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.91.96.206 (talk) 06:39, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Source? You still need to provide a reliable source for the information.--Logical Fuzz (talk) 12:19, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, if someone can provide a reliable source for this likely occurrence, I'd be glad to help implement it. In the meantime, as you can see I've been removing any unsourced claims regarding cancellation.— TAnthonyTalk 16:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
