President-designate
[edit]President-designate, perhaps, as of March 7---but his actual appointment at UVU doesn't start until July 1. His predecessors---people who have actually been president or acting president at UVCC/UVSC/UVU---don't appear to have been found notable enough to warrant their own personal entry in Wikipedia. If, in fact, the incoming appointee really is more notable than those he is about to succeed, detail explaining how should be added to the article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Alma Teao Wilson (talk • contribs) 03:57, 10 March 2009
- He's a political figure. He's notable. He also wrote a book. Offhand, I would guess that his predecessors should be notable enough for articles too. But if not, it's because they're not political figures, as Holland is. Herostratus (talk) 20:01, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- This is six years later and he is even more important and accomplished. We just heard him speak in Southern California to USC and UCLA students on many aspects of Lincoln, and "Civic Charity in the Age of Diversity". His original work will publish soon. The other speaker was Elaine Dalton, on the UVU Board of Directors. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 05:47, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
NOM Board Membership
[edit]I added the information concerning Holland's NOM board membership. It is pertinent information whenever a political activist becomes a university president. Darter (talk) 14:44, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Where's the picture?
