Page move
[edit]Moved from Matthew to Mathew per several reputable sites, including AOL Music, VH1, Barnes & Noble and many others. RadioKirk talk to me 01:27, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Mathew Knowles like Cannonball Adderley is said to be of Bahamian ancestry. The names Knowles, Adderley, Nealy, Rolle and Roker (see Lenny Kravitz) are distinctly Bahamian ... some more info in the article regarding this would be good.
Is there any sources for this article? 63.139.174.19 01:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
BLP & References
[edit]Jimbo has just picked up on problems with this page, after removing the libelous material, upon closer inspection, there are many totally un-sourced claims made. I've not been able to find a single version to revert back to that is suitably sourced, so I've taken the decision to stub the article back and start afresh. Any content added without references will be judiciously deleted. Nick 19:42, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- The whole article had been unsourced. The problems really kicked in today with this. I took out the bits that would trigger obvious BLP issues. I like your solution better. I'll keep it mind next time I see this sort of thing again. Cheers, Rklawton 20:43, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ninjawarriordex (talk · contribs) restored the content of the revisions that had been removed from the edit history, so I had to delete and undelete the article to remove it again. Extraordinary Machine 01:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Education needs citations or should be deleted. All proported degrees other than undergraduate at Fisk appear to be fictious. Honorary degrees, or from unaccredited online diploma mills should be specified. Genetikbliss (talk) 20:42, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Bias
[edit]Does anyone else think this is incredibly biased in portraying Mathew in a completely positive light? This is a man who was sued, twice, by half of the original members of his group. Letoya Luckett and Latavia Roberson have been very critical of his handling, and have basically said that he completely favored his own daughter, took their money, and kicked them out of Destiny's Child without notice. Why is none of this in the article?Schnapps17 (talk) 04:14, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- And he also is reportedly not on speaking terms with his daughter.Schnapps17 (talk) 04:35, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- And had an extra marital affair that lead to his divorce.Schnapps17 (talk) 04:45, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
Article requires updates
[edit]This article requires an update and correction of discrepancies in the content. First, the birth referred in the lede (1951) conflicts with the birth year stated in the main article (1952).
Also, the lede implies that he manages his daughter Beyonce; however, that info is no longer current. According to press reports, Beyonce severed ties with her father (in 2011) after accusations of theft by Live Nation representatives and a financial audit conducted by a law firm that represented (or is representing) Beyonce. I also learned that Matthew Knowles is (or was) a professor who teaches (or who had taught) the course, "The Recording Industry" at Texas Southern University -- information that comes his company's website that's not included in the article. →Lwalt ♦ talk 21:48, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit]It's clear that User:MW2020 and User:Magikalnowa are either the subject himself or someone working under his direction. That editor has removed pertinent WP:RS-cited content and added WP:PROMOTIONAL content. Beyoncies Murrayfield concert in Scotland.
[edit]I would love my Grandaughter to have a mention by her on stage, once we get our tickets, will know the date. Brooklyn my grandaughter is a kind loving 10 year old. Gives money to charities, looks after her freinds, who are less fortunate than herself. Financially, and being bullied, also friends that have Dislexia. She loves animals and she would be so happy to receive a mention. 🙏🤞 2A02:C7C:CA50:C000:BC79:41D8:7A5E:D8D3 (talk) 17:25, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
