Proposed merge of Siege of Nicosia into Massacre in Nicosia

[edit]

These two articles seem to represent the same event in 1570 as part of the Ottoman–Venetian War (1570–1573). Why do we need two separate articles? Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:36, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The massacre is the final part of a siege that lasted more than a month. Not the other way around. It is better to combine the massacre with the siege. BigUp (talk) 22:10, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
the same ancient print by Giovanni Francesco Camocio represents the siege and not the massacre. BigUp (talk) 22:12, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support merger and renaming. The higher level topic is the siege. It can include the massacre. Srnec (talk) 04:51, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
