History
[edit]When did the state of Maryland buy the North Line and Seaford Line tracks from Penn Central? The "History" section of the MDDE website states only that the branches were purchased by Maryland, but does not mention the year. Folklore1 (talk) 14:35, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Current contract
[edit]The BPW agenda summary for June 25, 2008 gives an effective date of July 1, 2008 for the MD-DE Railroad's contract with Maryland. This is incorrect; the actual start date of the contract was October 1, 2008 and the end date is June 30, 2013, a period slightly shorter than five years. However, I have not been able to find any publicly accessible sources for reference, so I left only the effective year in the article. The year can be verified in the "History" section of the MD-DE Railroad website, which doesn't state the precise date. Folklore1 (talk) 18:50, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
