The following statement is inaccurate

[edit]

"The rationale for such a road is that Sydney is rapidly approaching a complete ring road, with the section of Parramatta Road between the Anzac Bridge and Strathfield being the last and only non-motorway section of a complete and useful Sydney Orbital Motorway"

Sydney HAS an orbital motorway ( the M2, M7, M5 and F1), however it is very long and elliptical. There is indeed a poor link between the airport and many areas which are within the middle of the area ringed by the orbital motorway. The M4 is not part of the orbital motorway. The existing M4 and suggested links between the current eastern end of the M4 ( at Strathfield ), and either the Sydney CBD or the Sydney Airport, would not be part of the orbital motorway. They would complement the orbital motorway by forming the long axis through the middle of the ellipse formed by the orbital motorway. Merkanmich 12:03, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
